Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse - (NICU RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 N Pay Rate: $33.71 *
This 33 bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides comprehensive medical care for newborns requiring a high level of care in the, management of unexpected outcomes and care planning for anticipated newborn complications. The NICU can accommodate preterm infants with related health issues as early as 24 weeks gestation in addition to newborns with complex and chronic health issues. Many of this facility patients are referred to the NICU from the high risk parental center.
The role of the neonatal intensive care nurse (NICU nurse) is to provide direct and specialized care for newborns needing close monitoring due to premature birth, birth defects, infection, or other medical conditions requiring surgery or therapy. Working in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with doctors and other healthcare professionals, the NICU RNs assist in developing and implementing a plan of care for high-risk newborns requiring high-technology care, including v! entilators, incubators, or other special equipment or surgery.!
