Wher! e you work matters! Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Pharmacy Buyer at Cherry Hill in Seattle, WA.
This position works closely with pharmacy staff, purchasing materials, supplies, equipment and services for hospital use, ensuring availability when required, in a cost-effective manner.
In this position you will:
Place non-stock purchase orders accurately and completely to assure delivery of items or services as required by hospital departments.
Maintain storeroom inventory for selected items and reviews usage statistics, adjusting minimum/maximum levels as appropriate.
Verify availability and price of items at the time the order is placed and complies with formulary purchasing controls.
Communicate with hospital personnel to provide information and assist in product and vendor selection
Resolve shipping and invoice problems with respective vendors and prepares shipping authorization documents as required! .
Prepare reports and provides information relative t! o purchasing issues as required by pharmacy management.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program within twelve (12) months of hire
Current license to practice as a pharmacy technician in the State of Washington or obtained within twelve (12) months of hire
Experience as a pharmacy technician or as a buyer in a medical treatment facility
