Scrub: General, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, Oral Surgery, Orthopedics, Spine, Peripheral Vascular
Equipment utilized in the unit:
Brain Lab, Stryker Navigation, NIM monitoring, Synthes Ortho Fixation systems, Stryker total Joint systems, etc
Required skills and minimum years of experience:
Able to perform the skills of a Scrub Tech in a general OR, understands and supports the AORN & AST recommended standards and practice, as well as the Washington state rules and regs for ST's
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required: Requires registration as a Surgical Technologist with the state of WA. BLS required.
Shift or schedule requirements:2 positions:
1: Monday through Friday, 0800 to 1730; may include some call 2: Monday through Friday, 1100 to 1930; may include some call
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 8 general OR's; 2 Cardiovascular OR's
Dress Code:
Hospital issued scrubs
Unit/department specific training and orientation program:
Following hospital orientation for 'travelers', the candidate will attend approximately 2 days in department orientation including review of department P&P's, and location of supplies and equipment orientation; by the 3rd day, we would expect the candidate to feel free to ask questions, have a positive attitude and function independently.
