MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides intensive, coordinated care to critical care patients admitted to Stevens Hospital ICU/PCU. Supports specialty services through consultative requests to all medical staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training: MD, DO, and completion of advanced graduate medical education in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery or Anesthesia with board eligibility or board certification in Critical Care Medicine.
Experience: Training experiences as mandated by the ABIM for board eligibility are required, clinical and teaching experience in an inpatient healthcare environment including experience in both large academic medical center and community hospital environments is preferred.
License/Certification: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Washington, federal and state prescriptive authority, and obtain and maintain board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine or Family Practice in accordance with the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Stevens Hospitals.
Skills: Clinical training and skills as mandated by the American Board of Internal Medicine for General Internal Medicine physicians. Must have strong interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal skills. The ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining respect and attentiveness to staff, patients and families.
