Provides primary responsibility for all aspects of patient billing and department data for all the areas! within Perioperative services; supports perioperative services by the timely and accurate billing for services renderred as well as provide timely and accurate data reports to department and hospital leaders and stakeholders; the core values of Compassion, Excellence, Integrity, Teamwork, Safety and Respect are integrated comprehensively into the work environment; maintains current competency requirements, both initial and targeted.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree or specialized training of 25 to 36 months in medical billing, business technology or related field
3 plus years in Surgical Services, Medical Billing, Coding or Medical Business Office or equivalent education and/or experience
Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge of medical billing in an acute care hospital environment
Ability to work well with others across department lines
Working knowledge of surgical supplies and procedures Ability to extract clinical data out of various systems
S! trong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
Basic math skills
Work requires the ability to lift objects weighing 30lbs or less

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Current knowledge of CMS billing guidelines and surgical supplies and procedures
Chargemaster and Horizon Surgery Manager experience
Certification in Medical Billing and Coding
