PACIFIC NORTHWEST CONTRACT for a Cath Lab RN in Newly opened Heart Center. Come enjoy the beautiful state of Washington for 13 weeks! Facility is known for its welcoming environment to travelers and they're seeking someone ASAP but will also consider a January start date. At least 2 years experience within a Cath Lab setting is required.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Cath Lab/EP experience as a registered nurse
BLS, ACLS and WA RN license

Responsibilities:
The Staf! f Nurse is a licensed practitioner who uses the nursing proces! s to provide patient care. This includes exercising independent nursing judgment in managing the care of patients with complex health problem(s) and collaborating with patient, family and other healthcare providers/disciplines to optimize the patient’s return to health and promote independence in self-care. This staff nurse will assist the physician in the invasive testing and/or treatment of patients in the Electrophysiology Lab.
Special Training Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge in reading electrocardiograms, knowledge of heart pressures and wave forms
Demonstrated ability to perform safe demonstration of procedural sedation including drug administration and patient monitoring.
Must pass and complete the examination of the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) within the first two years of hire.
Solid organizational and multi-tasking capabilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Abilities
Must ! be able to safely maneuver patients and supplies.
Must be able to handle a fluctuating workload.
This job requires ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written) with all stakeholders (providers, caregivers, patients, family members) for the effective treatment of patients.
