Simulation Technology Specialist

for the First Hill campus, Seattle, WA.

The Gossman Center for Advanced Healthcare Simulation at Swedish is a medical simulation center designed to advance the skills of professionals in critical clinical situations. It is the first simulation center in the Pacific Northwest to focus on pediatric and perinatal simulation. Our mission is to offer a multidisciplinary training facility that is dedicated to providing high quality, state-of the-art education using medical simulation to promote skill acquisition, clinical decision-making, teamwork, and patient safety in a collaborative environment.

Under the direction of the Simulation Center Director, the spec! ialist will operate and maintain all simulation equipment, inc! luding computers, audio/visual equipment, and lab equipment. The specialist will also assist students and faculty with preparing for and conducting simulation lab experiences.

Requirements:
A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare environment and/or knowledge of healthcare operations.

Proficient with computer hardware equipment and software applications, including those relevant to simulator functions.

Proficient in use of audio/visual equipment (i.e., video cameras, monitors, microphones), including recording, duplication, and editing.

Ability to assess, troubleshoot, and fix equipment problems in a timely fashion.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Self-motivated and ability to work independently.

Work requires occasional heavy lifting of equipment.

Preferred Requirements

:

Bachelor’s or certification in Technology or Health-related field preferre! d

Emergency medical technician, paramedic, anesthesia technologist or similar ACLS experience helpful

ACLS provider strongly preferred

ACLS instructor preferred
