Position Summary
The Clinical Nursing Supervisor assists in the supervision and coordination of the activities of nursing and support staff within a defined nursing unit or department on a twenty-four hour basis. The Clinical Nursing Supervisor provides leadership in the implementation and integration of human and material resources necessary to provide quality and efficient patient care for a defined population/unit. Coordinates the daily activities of the staff as they provide patient care on the unit.
Minimum Requirements
Clinical competence in specialty area, unit specific. Budgetary and managerial experience preferred. Project management experience preferred. Three to five years experience in unit-specific specialty or related area. Able to prioritize a! nd organize the multiple demands of the position.
Edu! cation/Licenses/Certifications
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington. Bachelors required â€" BSN preferred.
Advanced degree or certification in related field desirable.
Additional Information
5years experience in PACU/Pre-op and a minimum of 2 years PACU charge nurse experience required. A combination of post-high school education and 6 years of relevant experience may be substituted for BSN requirement provided the individual commits to pursuing and completing the Bachelor's degree within a specific time frame. Certification in clinical specialty is desired. The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for the daily operation and personnel management within the Pre-op and PACU units in both the Dally Tower and Meadow Surgical Suites
