Where you work Matters! Swedish is looking for a Unit Secretary at Swedish/Edmonds in Edmonds, Washington.

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated individual to provide secretarial and technical assistance support for the Day Surgery Unit at Swedish/Edmonds

In this position you will:
Serve as the hub of all communication for the unit and act as the front-line customer service representative

Be accountable for the efficient coordination of unit activities, including patient placement, scheduling, coordination with other departments for patient care services and the effective dissemination and prioritization of information

Assemble and maintain patient charts, current forms and results/reports

Watch over patient heart rhythm monitors and notify the nurses when alerts sound

Assess, order and maintain ! unit supplies and quipment

Required qualifications! for this position include:
High School diploma or GED

Course work in Medical Terminology

Working knowledge of computers and various office equipment including: multi-line telephones, copiers, fax machines, etc.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Previous experience as a Health Unit Coordinator or similar position in a hospital setting

Accurate typing and keyboarding skills

Current Nursing Assistant Certified (Washington State)
