Swedish Medical Center is looking for ! a full time Clinical Supervisor in Heart and Vascular Surgery at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle, WA.
Under the guidance of the manager, the Clinical Supervisor is accountable for the management of clinical and operational activities of this department within peri-operative services. This position establishes and enforces standards of nursing practice pertaining to the care of patients undergoing heart and vascular surgery. The Supervisor is responsible for this in accordance with Swedish Medical Center’s mission, vision and values.
In this position you will:
Participate in staff development including development and maintenance of competencies, participation in the orientation process and involvement in the educational process
Provide direct patient care when needed
Make and adjust patient assignments based on patient care, family, physician, and staff needs
Reviews surgery schedule for the week to anticipate staffin! g and supply needs
Work with other surgical units to ! provide access to OR schedule for surgeons and patients
Work with the manger to develop, implement, and monitor unit based quality improvement programs
Comply with established operational plan, staffing pattern and operating budget
Required
qualifications for this position include:
Nursing Baccalaureate degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing, or must attain a BSN within 5 years of hire
Current License to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Washington
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Clinical Experience as a Registered Nurse
Experience as a Supervisor or Charge Registered Nurse
