The Cardiovascular Surgery (CVOR) Nurse Practitioner/PA will oversee a growing CVOR program and will play a key role in providing quality patient care and staff education for Cardiac Surgery. The CVOR NP/PA will report directly to the Medical Director of Cardiovascular Services and will work closely with Cardiac Surgeons.
The patient population is diverse with diagnoses ranging from CABG patients to heart failure. Cardiovascular Surgery includes both Inpatient and Outpatient services. The PA or NP of the CVOR will be supported by Physicians, Clinical Coordinators, Nursing staff, and additional staff as the program expands. The Cardiovascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner NP or Physician Assistant PA will be a resource clinically and have education responsibilities over the CVOR staff. Experience with vein harvesting is highly desirable!
