Providence is calling a Scheduling Secretary Surgery to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children’s Hospital in Spokane, WA.

We are seeking a! caring and attentive individual to schedule procedures/surgery cases for the department.

In this position you will:

• Independently make decisions in relation to schedule adjustments based upon the policies related to scheduling of cases.
• Work closely with management team as a resource and for consultation on scheduling conflicts/issues.
• Schedule cases accurately with complete detail in order to ensure patients are safe. • Utilize age related concepts when communicating with patients and families.

Required qualifications for this position include:

• Knowledge of how the Operating Room/Medical Procedure areas function and physician preferences.
• Strong computer skills, prefer experience with computerized case scheduling for operating rooms or procedure area.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Minimum ! of three years of recent secretarial experience with medical/s! urgical terminology in a hospital or medical office setting preferred.
