This includes exercising independent nursing judgment in managing the care of patients with complex health problem(s) and collaborating with patient, family and other healthcare providers/disciplines to optimize the patient’s return to health and promote independence in self-care. Supervises and coordinates the work of ancillary healthcare personnel. Qualifications: Education Background Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
BSN preferred. Licensure, Registration, Certification A current Registered Nurse License for the State of Washington is required. BLS is required. ACLS is required.
CCRN or PCCN! certifications are prefferred. Special Training/Skills Cardiac / Open ! Heart experience is prefferred. Able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on assigned unit/department. Work Experience At least one year of experience in an ICU setting is required.
Physical Abilities Must be able to safely maneuver patients and supplies. Must be able to handle a fluctuating workload. This job quires ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written) with all stakeholders (providers, caregivers, patients, family members) for the effective treatment of patients. Physical Demand Level: HeavyIn an 8-hour workday, must be able to- Lift / Carry 50 to 100 pounds occasionally 25 to 50 pounds frequently 10 to 20 pounds constantly As required, must be able to- Sit, Stand, Walk, Bend, Squat, Kneel, Crawl, Climb and Reach above shoulders Push and Pull Perform fine motor functions Must possess functional vision, hearing, and speech in order to communicate effectively with cl! ients, client advocates, and staff.
