The Staff Nurse is ! a licensed practitioner who uses the nursing process to provide patient care. This includes exercising independent nursing judgment in managing the care of patients with complex health problem(s) and collaborating with patient, family and other healthcare providers/disciplines to optimize the patient's return to health and promote independence in self-care. Supervises and coordinates the work of ancillary healthcare personnel.
Education Background
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
BSN preferred.
Licensure, Registration, Certification
CPA certification preferred.
A current Registered Nurse License for the State of Washington is required.
Special Training/Skills
Strong computer skills
Able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on assigned unit/department.
Work Experience
2 years of psych experience preferred.
1! year of Dementia Care required.
Minimum of three months of prior R! N experience is required.
Physical Abilities
Must be able to safely maneuver patients and supplies.
Must be able to handle a fluctuating workload.
This job quires ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written) with all stakeholders (providers, caregivers, patients, family members) for the effective treatment of patients.
