We are looking for a well versed, highly motivated, experienced Surgical Technologist to take on this new role at our Tacoma Ambulatory Surgery Center.
The Case Cart Coordinator (CCC) is an integral! part of the surgical team, both in coordinating case instrume! ntation and communicating with all members of the team. General Summary: The Case Cart coordinator (CCC) is a Registered Surgical Technologist (ST) and a member of the surgical team whose primary role is that of the CCC and is responsible to oversee every surgical procedure for accuracy of instrumentation either belonging to GHC or from an external vendor. The CCC works under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, the RN in the OR suite, and the surgeon to ensure all instrumentation, implants, trays etc. are provided for the surgical procedure in a timely manner.
The CCC has expertise in the application and understanding of surgical instrumentation, implants, associated equipment, and the reprocessing of such for surgical procedures. Secondary role for this position includes relief Surgical Technologist responsibilities primarily with urgent or emergent cases or staffing needs. Education Minimum Graduate of approved school of Surgical Technology or equivalent Armed F! orces. Knowledge/Skills Demonstrated excellent communication skills with all members of a team.
Skills in instrument coordination for a wide variety of surgical cases. Experience Minimum 2 years Current continuous O.R. experience in a wide variety of surgicalcases. Preferred Experience 5 years experience coordinating instrumentation in a wide variety of surgical cases.
Case Cart coordination for multiple surgical cases. License/Certifications Minimum License/Certifications Requirements At time of hire BCLS. Current wA State Surgical Technologist certification. Group Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.
