Located in the stunning Atherton Tablelands, our client has 3 well-established Horticulture operations that are undergoing expansion. Located in Paddys Green, Arriga, and Dimbulah, these positions offer long-term employment with ongoing training and career development.
The Role
Reporting to the respective Farm Manager, each of these farms are in need of skilled Machine Operators to assist in daily tasks associated with crop management practices throughout the growing cycle. Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
Operating John Deere tractors with tow-behind spray units, slashers, and cherry pickers
Performing basic maintenance on all machinery
Assisting with irrigation installation and maintenance
Effectively participating in harvest operations
Completing pre-starts and machinery-related admin
Complying with workplace health and safety policies
Skills & Experience
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience operating tractors and other farming equipment to ensure production of high-quality fruit. To be considered for the role, it's important you can address the following criteria:
Driver's licence and a reliable vehicle
ChemCert/Chemical ticket
Previous experience operating tractors
Availability to support seasonal pressures during harvest
