Pediatric ! Orthopaedic Surgeon
Seattle Children’s Hospital and the University of Washington, in Seattle, have an outstanding opportunity for a full-time academic Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in Pediatric Sports Medicine. Appointment will be made at the Assistant Professor level (without tenure due to funding), or at the Associate Professor level (without tenure due to funding). This position includes an academic appointment in the Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Clinical responsibilities include oversight of the pediatric sports program, assisting with general pediatric orthopaedics and pediatric orthopaedic trauma. Applicants must have an MD degree (or foreign equivalent), be board certified (or board eligible) in Orthopaedic Surgery and have completed a fellowship (or foreign equivalent) in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery. Determination of rank and clinical track will be based on the applicant! ’s credentials. In order to be eligible for University spons! orship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
