The Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine at the University of Washington is seeking qualified candidates for a unique clinical opportunity. This individual will be expected to provide consistent overnight clinical coverage during routine weekdays that excludes care of cardiac surgery, liver transplant and obstetric patients. There will be no weekend work. Qualified candidates should have a demonstrated track record of clinical excellence, have a genuine interest in clinical teaching and possess familiarity with the anesthesia care team model. The University of Washington Medical Center is a busy tertiary-quarternary health care system in the picturesque city of Seattle. The position is available at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, depending on qualifications. This position is without tenure and is either part-time or full-time. MD degree (or equivalent) is required. Must be Board certified or eligible (or equivalent) in anesthesiology. Must obtain state of Washington medical licensure. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the US Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.
