Surgical Technician

Location: Seattle Washington

Description: Maxim Nurse Staffing is currently seeking to employ Surgical Technician right now, this occupation will be placed in Washington. Maxim Staffing Solutions is currently seeking experienced Surgical Technologist for full-time contract work in the downtown Seattle area. Candidates would need to have a minim! um of 1 year professional experience in a hospital OR setting. The facility we are working with is looking to bring on 6 Surgical Technologist. The different positions are listed below.

Minimum Requirements for all of the positions:

• 1 year of hospital OR experience
• Active WA state license
• Ability to clear Nationwide Criminal History report

1 Surgical Technologist: Must have cardiac surgery scrub experience; On-call required

2 Surgical Technologists: Must have Strong Orthopedic with Neuro/Spine experience

3 Surgical Technologists: General OR experience in complex tertiary care environment. WA ST Certification required. Transplant and/or Robotic experience a plus.

Responsibilities include:

• Places equipment and supplies in operating room and arranges instruments, according to instructions.
• Assists team members to place and position patient on table.
• Scrubs arms and hands and dons gown and gloves.
• Aids team to don gowns and gloves.
• Maintains supply of fluids, such as plasma, saline, blood, and glucose for use during operation.

Qualifications include:

• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technologist training program with subsequent certification in surgical technology.
• (Tissue Processing Technologist â€" only) Prefer a degree in biology related field which includes a degree /certification as a Surgical T! echnologist.
• Current CPR card.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current Health Certificate (if applicable)
