Coordinates the daily operations of the Trauma Registry by coding and abstracting clinical and demographic data from patient records for i! nclusion in the Trauma Registry in compliance with Washington State Department of Health Trauma Registry guidelines, The National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB) guidelines and the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (ACSCOT) recommendations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent with specialized training of 13 plus months and knowledge of clinical medicine, trauma classification systems and statistics
One years' registrar experience or may have equivalent combination education and experience
Trauma Registrar and/or Abbreviated Injury Severity Scoring courses
Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Analysis/research methods skills
Computer skills to include: data abstraction/entry, database management and ability to navigate multiple software sights simultaneously
Medical terminology
Knowledge of record keeping related to trauma statistics
Well-organized and highly detai! l oriented
Ability to work independently or as part of a t! eam, set and manage multiple priorities
Work requires the ability to lift objects weighing 10 lbs or less
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in Trauma Registry and/or previous medical data analysis preferred
Certified Specialist in Trauma Registrars (CSTR) preferred
