Responsibilities:
The Staff Nurse is a licensed practitioner who uses the nursing process to provide patient care. This includes exercising independent nursing judgment in managing the care of patients with complex health problem(s) and collaborating with patient, family and other healthcare providers/disciplines to optimize the patientâs return to health and promote independence in self-care. Supervises and coordinates the work of ancillary healthcare personnel.
Qualifications:
Education Background
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
BSN preferred.
Licensure, Registration, Certification
A current Registered Nurse License for the State of Washington is required.
BLS is required.
ACLS is preferred.
Special Training/Skills
Telemetry experience! is required.
Able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills nec! essary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on assigned unit/department.
Work Experience
Minimum one year of telemetry experience is required, two years in preferred.
Physical Abilities
Must be able to safely maneuver patients and supplies.
Must be able to handle a fluctuating workload.
This job quires ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written) with all stakeholders (providers, caregivers, patients, family members) for the effective treatment of patients.
