Job Summary:
Start Your Career Opportunity of a Lifetime at Vail Resorts: This Wholesale and Groups Reservations Agent position will work on a call center team to book and maintain lodging reservations for weddings and conference guests and those booked through external channels. This is a great entry level position for someone interested in starting a career and growing with our company! This is currently a remote position with regional location requirements; must reside in a state that we are licensed to do business (ie: CO, UT, CA, NV, NY, PA, for others, please ask), and within 2 hours of one of Vail Resorts’ Mountain Resorts or our HQ in Broomfield, CO.
Job Specifications:
- Shift Availability: Full Time, Year Round (10 month & 12 month available)
- Shifts will include weekend hours, evening hours and holidays. Overtime may be required during peak business periods for full-time employees
- Expected Wage Range: $20.00 - $22.76 / hour
- Other Specifics: Remote
- Inbound calls only – no cold calling.
Job Qualifications
- Answering phones in a call center environment while entering data into a reservation software.
- Providing excellent customer service and accurate information on all aspects of properties, activities, and amenities to group guests and wholesaler partners.
- Demonstrate an unyielding passion for the guest experience, culture, mission, and vision by troubleshooting and resolving guest and partner issues in a timely and mutually beneficial outcome.
- Provide excellent, personalized customer service to a variety of clientele through professional and knowledgeable communication.
- Working as a team to complete daily tasks.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Spanish 2nd language - preferred but not required
- Must reside where we do business and within 2 hours of one of our resorts.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including ability to work weekends and holidays as needed - required
- Customer-focused mindset and excellent verbal communication skills - required
- A positive and professional attitude is essential
- Enthusiastic attitude of the travel industry is a plus
- Perform work with a high degree of accuracy- required
- Familiarity with Vail Resorts Mountain Resorts - preferred
- IQWare, Inntopia software experience - preferred
- Able to work on the phone and computer for long periods of time
Technical Job Requirements:
Vail Resorts provides specific equipment required to perform this role; including virtual desktop computer terminal, keyboard and mouse, second monitor, telephone and headset, tablet, and Ethernet cable.
Final Candidates are required to provide the following services *prior to start date*:
- Dedicated analogue landline phone (cellular phones, or VoIP phones are not permitted)
- High-speed wired internet connection (wireless internet is not compatible/permitted)
- Designated, secure, distraction free workspace
The expected pay range is $20.00 - $22.76. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
