VCA Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle is excited to be adding a new surgeon to our team. Due to our expansion, we are looking for two experienced and motivated Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join our Surgery Department. Plus we are looking to add a couple technicians to our Emergency & Critical Care team. We are a multi-specialty hospital that includes 24hr emergency/critical care, surgery, internal medicine, neurology, dermatology, radiology and cardiology. The surgery department manages a wide variety of soft tissue, orthopedic and non-evasive surgical cases in a fast-paced environment with a focus on excellent patient care and outstanding client service. We are a progressive and rapidly grow! ing department with an emphasis on maintaining high quality of! standards. Technicians in the surgery department maintain a close working relationship with the surgeons and collaborate with members of all other departments within the hospital for proper patient care. The ideal candidate for this position will have the desire to be involved with all aspects of case management and client communication, maintain a positive attitude, willing to work as a team and independently, needs to be flexible, and has an interest in developing advanced anesthesia skills and surgical knowledge for all types of procedures on canine and feline patients. The right candidate must possess strong anesthetic skills, excellent communication and client service skills, a positive “can do†attitude, and an ongoing desire to learn and excel in a specialty hospital e! nvironment.
To apply you must have a current WA state license, or be license eligible, as well as recent experience working in a veterinary hospital setting. This is a full time position (32-40+ hours/week) including well compensated on-call hours.
