Quality Assurance Registered Nurse, Surgical Services (.6)

Location: Seattle Washington

Description: Seattle Children's Hospital is at present recruited Quality Assurance Registered Nurse, Surgical Services (.6) right now, this position will be placed in Washington. Responsible for collecting and submitting reliable data to a national database through evaluation of patien! t medical information. Additional responsibilities include the assessing and interpreting of patient medical information, and submitting appropriate information in a timely manner to national databases approved by Seattle Children’s. Participates and works closely with the members of the Department of surgery to identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement.

Requirements:
Required Education/Experience:

• RN education and a minimum of three (3) years clinical experience, which may include coordination or participation in quality projects.
• Excellent computer skills

Required Credentials:

• Current Washington State Registered Nurse License.

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Data entry and database management experience.
• Basic statistical knowledge.
• Acute care nursing experience.
• Current clinical research experience, ! which may include coordination or participation in research st! udies.
• Experience in utilizing principles of quality improvement and Lean methodology.
