Maxim Healthcare is currently looking for dedicated and professional Registered Nurses to work full-time on a contract ba! sis at a Federal hospital in Seattle!
I am the *only* recruiter working to fill these opportunities nationwide and Maxim is the sole provider for this facility and will be for the next two years! 1 Rehab/Med-Surg RN for a Full-Time, 13 week contract assignment
1 RN Needed to Work ! in a GI Clinic on a Full-Time, 13 week contract assignment
Multiple Psych RNs Needed to Work on a Per-Diem/Contract Basis

Required Work Experience:
MUST have at least two (2) years recent experience in the specialty applied for.
Other Requirements For This Position Are as Follows:
- 3 References from past employers
- Ability to pass thorough background check and license check
- Current TB test
- 2 MMR vaccinations and a Varicella immunization (or positive titers)
- Current BLS card + ACLS card (For Acuities Above Med/Surg)

The Registered Nurse, as a professional practitioner employed by Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc., assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. The nurse demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. Performs focused interview to identify specific patients needs.!
- Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patientâs condition.
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
- Documents the patientâs plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
- Identifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient care requirements.
- Monitors consistency between patient plan of care and actions of medical staff.
- Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the hospital policies and patient care outcome standard.
- Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment.
- Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
- Revises the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing inte! rventions.
- Documents patientâs response to nursing and other interventions.
- Uses clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs of an assigned unit/floor including establishing priorities.
- Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
- Participates in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with the chosen facility.
- Supports professional practice by observing the following: Uses knowledge and practices in accordance with 1) the Nurse Practice Act; 2) Standards of Nursing Practice; 3) Standards of Patient Care; 4)JCAHO, state and local laws; 5) Patientâs Bill of Rights; and 6) Maxim Healthcare, nursing and client hospital policies.
- Other duties as assigned
- Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.
- Full command, verbal and written, of the English language.! li>
- Current Health Certificate (per facility contract or state regu! lation).
- Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
- One year prior professional nursing experience preferred.
- Current BLS card.
- Successful completion of screening tests for the clinical specialty area(s) in which the RN practices with a score of 80% or greater
- Maxim background screening
- May work at off-site facility/ client site
- May be exposed to blood-borne pathogens, chemotherapeutic and toxic chemicals
