The Bureau of Prisons is in need of a locum tenens Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide services to the Federal Detention Center in the Seattle, Washington area. Services will include but are not limited to the following: Conducts daily sick call, secures a health developmental history from the patient, records findings and makes critical evaluation, establishes diagnostic impressions, requests appropriate diagnostic tests, i.e. laboratory, x-ray, visual acuity and electrocardiograms, and interpret the results, prescribe medications and treatment for illnesses, discriminate normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional or mental problems, assists in the management of chronic health problems, teaches and demonstrates the application of good health practices to patients, maintains current clinical medical records to insure data is entered in the appropriate section in a legible manner.

This assignment will start in June and continue through November 30, 2012. Working 5 days per week, daytime hours, approximately 6 1/2 hours per day.
