This position acts as a licensed mid-level practitioner, allocating time in specialty area (eg, orthopedics, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery) by assisting with surgeries or procedures, serving as consulting clinician in the hospital, and/or triaging and treating patients who present to the clinic and/or Emergency Department. Some clinic work may be involved on an ad hoc basis.
1. Provides direct patient care during procedure/surgery.
2. Serves as consulting clinician in the hospital.
3. Provides evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients presenti! ng to the clinic and/or Emergency Department.
4. Acco! untabilities will vary depending on specialty area.
This position requires Certification as a Physician Assistant with prescriptive authority in the State of Washington, plus one year experience in specialty areas.
