Professional Medical / Surgical Practice
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Prepare patient for medical providers both i! n consultation and in surgical setting
Administer injections and medications
Perform laser procedures
Maintains records of vital statistics and other pertinent data of patient
Conduct full medical history and recording in EMR system
Assist doctor or surgeon as defined by procedure and recover surgical patients as needed
Keep assigned logs up to date
Educate patients on procedures performed by medical providers
Convey messages in writing, verbally or electronically
Generate revenues by giving patients estimates for all procedure recommended by provider and booking appointments at appropriate facilities
Perform pre-op and post-op calls
Maintain safe, secure and healthy patient care by adhering to organization standards and policies, to legal regulations; alerting others regarding potential concerns
Participate in educational activities and attend weekly staff meetings. !
Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment, and ma! intain stock of supplies.
Conduct self in accordance with the employee manual.
Maintain strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations
Maintain patient confidence and medical job knowledge by attending training sessions
Any other tasks delegated by Practice Director and/or managing physician.
