Registered Nurse - Facility Float

Location: Spokane Washington

Description: Providence Health & Services is in need of Registered Nurse - Facility Float right now, this career will be placed in Washington. Detailed specification about this career opportunity please read the description below. Act as an advocate for patients in maintaining choice, independence, privacy, dignity and security

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to prepare and administer individualized nursing plans

Have responsibility for providing direct patient care to subacute patients and long term care residents, which may include those with Alzheimer’s and Dementia

Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate for Healthcare Providers

Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)

At least six-months of nursing experience

Prior patient care experience in acute, subacute, long term care and/or with Alzheimer’s or Dementia patients

Experience supervising nursing assistants

Providence St. Joseph Care Center in Spokane, Washington is located on the campus of Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital. Our Transitional Care Unit is designed for patients coming out of the hospital who need skilled nursing care, end of life care, or rehabilitation for those recovering from surgery or who have a functional loss from illness, disease, or an accident. Our Long Term Care unit provides skilled nursing in a residential setting, addressing the needs of our residents through creating a sense of community and home and providing a model of care that is resident-centered.
