KEY REQUIREMENTS

Full unrestricted Licensure, Certification, or Registration required.
Must pass pre-employment examination.
Designated and/or Random Drug Testing required.

Must be proficient in written and spoken English DUTIES:
The Diagnostic Radiologist shall provide routine and STAT imagi! ng ( Radiology) procedures, including both the professional and technical components for all diagnostic Radiologic, CT Scan, Dexa Scan, Fluoroscopic and Ultrasound procedures. The Radiologist is responsible for entering orders for laboratory tests into Vista utilizing the Computerized Patient Record System ( CPRS). The Radiologist will be utilizing the PACS imaging and voice dictation system to complete documentation of imaging results.

The Radiologist shall use all usual, customary and reasonable practices in performing Radiologic examinations in accordance with Walla Walla VA Medical Center guidelines and protocols, including guidelines for avoidance of radiation exposure to pregnant patients or workers.

Images must be officially interpreted and documented within 48 hrs.

Hours of operation for the Radiology Department are currently as follows: Mon.-Fri. 0800-1630hrs., no on-call weekdays, weekends or holidays. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

BASIC REQUIREM ENTS:

U.S. citizenship. Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.

D egree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.

Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.

The Radiologist must be board certified or completed the requirements for board certification and meet all the standards, accreditation and certifications required by the American Board of Radiology or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology for Radiologists.
