Responsibilities:
The Staff Nurse is a licensed practitioner who uses the nursing process to provide patient care. This includes exercising independent nursing judgment in managing the care of patients with complex health problem(s) and collaborating with patient, family and other healthcare providers/disciplines to optimize the patient’s return to health and promote independence in self-care. This staff nurse will assist the physician in the invasive testing and/or treatment of patients in the Electrophysiology Lab.

Qualifications:
Education Background

Graduate o! f an accredited school of nursing.

BSN preferred.

Licensure, Registration, Certification

A current Registered Nurse License for the State of Washington is required.

ACLS certification is required.

Special Training Skills

Demonstrated knowledge in reading electrocardiograms, knowledge of heart pressures and wave forms

Demonstrated ability to perform safe demonstration of procedural sedation including drug administration and patient monitoring.

Must pass and complete the examination of the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) within the first two years of hire.

Solid organizational and multi-tasking capabilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Work Experience

At least six months of prior EP Lab experience.

Physical Abilities

Must be able to safely maneuver patients and supplies.

Must be able to handle a flu! ctuating workload.

This job requires ability to communicate cl! early in English (verbal and written) with all stakeholders (providers, caregivers, patients, family members) for the effective treatment of patients.

In an 8-hour workday, must be able to-

Lift / Carry

50 to 100 pounds occasionally

25 to 50 pounds frequently

10 to 20 pounds constantly

As required, must be able to -
