A full-time, calendar year tenure track/tenured position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor is available in Spokane, Washingto! n for a nurse scholar with an active program of clinical research and an interest in teaching and mentoring both health professional students and practicing clinicians for a jointly appointed position between Washington State University College of Nursing and Providence Health Care. Position Details: The tenured/tenure track faculty member will be responsible for: 1) Collaborating with academic, nursing, medical, and allied staff to initiate or maintain successful research and evidence-based practice projects; 2) fostering the ongoing development of a research environment at Providence Health Care that empowers staff to take ownership of research and evidence-based practice; 3) advancing research collaborations between Providence Health Care and Washington State University; 4) initiating or maintaining an ongoing funded program of research; 5) publishing/presenting research findings; 6) teaching graduate and undergraduate students, including serving on graduate project/thes! is/dissertation committees; and 7) providing service to the co! llege, university, and appropriate professional affiliates. The College of Nursing serves more than 1,100 students and offers a: 1) baccalaureate program; 2) RN to BSN program; 3) masters of nursing (MN) and doctor of nursing practice (DNP) program with specialization as a family nurse practitioner, psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner, or advanced population health nurse; and 4) PhD program. Registered nurse with doctoral degree in nursing or another health-related or science discipline; 2.

Eligibility for licensure in Washington State; 3. Established program of research; 4. History of successfully collaborating with others to complete research and disseminate findings; 5. Expertise in successfully mentoring students and/or clinicians; and 6.

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a diverse scope of work. Minimum/Required Qualifications continued: Preferred Qualifications 1. Program of research relevant to acute care; 2. Demonstrated history of successfully securing grant funding from a variety of funding sources; 3.

Demonstrated ability to successfully facilitate academic-clinical partnerships; 4. Demonstrated ability to teach using d! istance education modalities; 5. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse clients/students/clinicians; and 6. Expertise in supervising graduate student project/theses/dissertations.
