This position directs the business, technical and nursing support activities of a multi-speciality medical clinic. In conjunction with the Administrative Director or Vice President and the Physician Leader, oversees administrative functions of the clin! ic including operations, marketing, facilities, finance, human! resources, and planning and development. Includes VMMC clinics with more than 3 multi-speciality areas and/or 7-25 physicians/providers.
In this position the successful candidate will:
- Develop and implement clinic-specific customer service, human resource, and financial goals & objectives consistent with VMMC's strategic plan and goals.
- Perform all aspects of human resource management, including recruitment and retention, analysing staff mix and deploying staff, ensuring competency of staff through development and regular evaluation, and providing disciplinary counseling.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by analysing customer complaints, concerns and suggestions and providing appropriate follow-through.
- Forecast staffing, capital and operating budget needs in evaluating and reporting on the clinic's market position, financial situation, space utilization, etc. Monitors performance of plan and makes adjustments as needed.
- Plan and organizes staff and facilities to meet customer needs. Ensures routine maintenance is performed, problems corrected and systems in place to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for patient care/service delivery.
- Market and promotes new and existing programs and services to patients and community.
- Participate in organization-wide committees to establish or improve customer service and administrative plans and policies. Represents clinic and VMMC to local community and business groups.
- Develop and implement clinic-specific policies and procedures and implements and monitors system standard work.
