An exciting opportunity is now available for a Nurse Manager of Cardiovascular ICU. The Cardiac Surgery Nurse Manager will lead a comprehensive team of 50 FTEs including nurses, clinical educators, techs, Coordinators and Nursing Assistants and will report to the Chief Nursing Executive. The Cardiac Operating Room Nurse Manager will be responsible for the coordination of patient care services for the Cardiac Surgery specialty unit as well as oversight of quality initiatives and review of policies and procedures.
The CVICU Nurse Manager will oversee staff evaluations, perfo! rmance reviews and staffing while managing daily operations an! d budgeting for the department. The CVICU Nurse Manager will be a key member of the Critical Care Committee and will act as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, coordinating continuing education and in-service trainings with the Nurse Manager of Education.
The Cardiac ICU Manager will demonstrate expertise in organizational, clinical and problem solving skills as well as strong working clinical knowledge of Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) and open heart surgery.
