Where you work matters! Swedish Medical Center is looking for a full time Staff Registered Nurse for our Operating Room
at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
We are looking for an experienced Operating Room RN who will uphold the Swedish standards in patient care.
In this position you will:
- Coordinate the activities of the health care team during surgical intervention, delegating duties as needed.
- Relay information to the patient and family as appropriate, providing emotional support and comfort.
- Prepare the surgical site using aseptic techniques
- Initiate nursing actions based on physiological and psychological changes
- Delivers conscious sedation, providing psychological support to the patient when needed.
qualifications for this position include:
Nursin! g Baccalaureate degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nurs! ing, or must attain a BSN within 5 years of hire.
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
Current BLS certification
Experience as an RN in an operating room or completion of an approved training course
Preferred
qualifications for this position include:
Working knowledge of operating room specific equipment
