Position Summary:
This individual functions as a primary clinic nurse under the direction of a physician. Assists the physician with patient care and follow-up. Provide direct and indirect patient care in a clinical area. Duties to include but are not limited to interviewing of patients, obtain vital signs, and assist them in preparing for exam or treatment. Provide instruction and teaching to patients per physician request. Schedule appointments, surgeries and special procedures. Set up and assist physician with routine and special procedures and exams. Perform physical tests per the physician’s instructions. Perform minor procedures per the physician’s instructions. Start, monitor, and remove IV's as assigned. Perform charting and clerical work as necessary Phone prescriptions and refills to the pharmacy. Triage phone calls and patients, identify emergent and non-emergent situations, and refer patients, as needed to the physician. Report diagn! ostic results to the patient as directed by the physician. Giv! es injections under physician's direction.
Minimum Requirements:
Two years experience as an LPN in a clinic setting preferred.
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Current WA state LPN license.
