However, 1 or more years of training in a post anesthesia care unit are necessary, as well as practice in recovering and stabilizing patients after cardiovascular, plastic, orthopedic, ENT, or same day surgeries. Expectations include daily evaluations of operating room patients, care planning, and implementation and documentation of care following procedures.
A minimum of an associate’s degree, state RN license, ACLS, and BLS are needed for this position.
