The Clinical Supervisor for Ambulatory Surgery Operating Room will work with a tertiary-care medical center that has one of the most active and advanced birthing programs in Washington state and houses a Level III neonatal intensive-care unit.
More surgeries are performed each year at this hospital than at any other facility in the region with volumes include more total joint replacements than any other medical center in the state. The surgeons and surgical nursing teams at the healthcare system perform more than 32,000 procedures every year.
The Ambulatory Operating Room Charge Nurse will be responsible for coordinating patient care and nursing service activities consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The ASC Charge RN will coordinate the activities of the healthcare team during surgical intervention while delegating dut! ies as needed.
The Nurse Coordinator of Ambulatory Su! rgery Center will supervise the operating room clinical staff. The ASC Clinical Nurse Supervisor will participate in staff development including development and maintenance of competencies, participation in the orientation process and involvement in the educational process
The Clinical Nurse Supervisor for Ambulatory Surgery will work with Unit Based Staffing Committee to prepare staffing budgets and run the Operating Room schedule efficiently based upon needs of patient, surgeon and staff. The Charge Nurse for Ambulatory Operating Room will evaluate effectiveness of existing programs and services and implement new services as appropriate.
