Position Summary

Covidien Vascular Therapies is redefining the treatment of venous disease, varicose veins and deep vein thrombosis for millions of patients worldwide. We are a fast pa! ced, clinically-oriented, high-tech medical device company loo! king for the right person to help grow our business.

Overall Responsibilities
Product training for all potential audiences involved in the use and sale of the Closure System including but not limited to: General & Vascular Surgeons, Cardiovascular Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists and other physicians treating venous disease. Training and education of Covidien Vascular Therapies customers on our products and procedures. Primary responsibilities include superficial venous ultrasound training, Closure System product training, and Case Coverage. Areas of training include superficial venous ultrasound, the Closure System, Closure Fast, RFS, RFG2, supporting supplies and materials required for our procedures, and products. This includes ultrasound in-services, product in-services, mock cases, case coverage, and participation in field employee training. Training will include providing case support with physicians as it applies to our products and treating DVT. Tr! aining may also potentially include field employee training. Resolve site customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management. May be asked to assist in achieving sales and training objectives for the territory. This may include Market Development activities Participate in company sponsored/supported educational courses. Training and educating Covidien Vascular Therapies customers on our products and associated procedures. Work with physicians and lab or office staff in case selection process. Provide regular feedback to Research and Development staff regarding product performance issues and possible product improvements. Work closely with Sales team to develop site specific sales strategies to assist in selling Covidien Venous Vascular products in the United States to established accounts. Assist in the development of new tools and tactics to increase the effectiveness of sales strategies. Call po! ints will include the hospital, surgery center and physician office as ! necessary. Keep supervisor informed of changes in work schedule and/or workload. Will require extensive travel ( >80%) on a regular basis throughout the designated region along with national travel when necessary. Call points will include the hospital, surgery center and physician offices as necessary. Selling Covidien Vascular Therapies products in the United States to established accounts All activities will be related to achieving overall company sales and training objectives for the territory. Maintain and increase professional and technical knowledge by on-the-job training, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Requirements Bachelors Degree from accredited University or College, or Degree from an accredited Ultrasounds program, or equivalent experience. 3 years experience in a medical device organization or related field preferred e.g., vascular or g! eneral surgery or interventional cardiology or radiology, or related hospital based experience. Credentialed in ultrasound in vascular or phlebology, i.e.RVT, RVS, RPhS preferred, and/or ARDMS registered with vascular ultrasound experience. No medical conditions shall prevent maintenance of this travel schedule or the ability to conduct training in the hospital operating rooms, surgicenter, and/ or physician office.
